A 286-paged book titled "Sociology and Spirituality" that provides deeper insight into the emergence and development of sociology, social integration and moral regulation has been launched in Kumasi.
It was authored by Dr Kojo Wireko-Brobby, a Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Social Science, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The first copy of the book with a cover price of
GH¢45.00 was auctioned at GHc1, 000.00.
Speaking at the launch, which attracted a large
gathering of rectors, lecturers, students, the clergy and traditional leaders, Mr Justice Anin Yeboah, a Supreme Court Judge, appealed to university lecturers to write more books.
He said he was confident that Ghanaians, especially students would take advantage of the book to improve their spiritual and social lives.
Dr Wireko-Brobby said he was grateful to God for giving him the strength to write the book and pledged to continue to share ideas in the book with individuals, groups and organizations.
