Former Indian President APJ Abdul Kalam celebrated his 80th birthday in a subtle way at the government guest house here on Friday, with just his close associates present at the occasion.
Kalam, who was here to attend two functions, cut a cake in the presence of personal secretary R K Prasad, his advisor V Ponraj and a few other friends.
Incidentally, Kalam celebrated this birthday in Kerala, where he has spent some substantial years of his career working with the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) at
Thiruvananthapuram.
On Thursday, Kalam attended the 200th anniversary of the Forona Church at Edathua.
