The Effutu Municipal Assembly has handed over a 3-unit classroom block with office, store and toilet facilities to the Municipal Education Directorate.
The facility will be used by junior high school pupils from Ateitu, Osubonpanyin and Akroful communities and it cost 41,000 Ghana cedis.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Nii Ephraim, said the facility is among four projects which the assembly awarded on contract in October 2009.
He appealed to the chiefs, teachers and parents to give out their best, to ensure that the children who pass through the new educational
system can become useful to themselves and to the community in which they live.
Mrs Elizabeth Amoah Enimil, Effutu Municipal Director of Education, thanked the government and the assembly for the facility.
Neenyi Obosu II, Chief of Ateitu, expressed his gratitude to the Assembly, Education Directorate and said the facility would boost the morale
of the teachers and pupils.
He said he would release land for the future construction of a senior high school, ICT centre and other educational facilities.
