Dr Mustapha Ahmed, Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East, on Wednesday presented stationery worth about GH¢1,500 for distribution to students participating in this year's Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE)in the constituency.
The students were from St. Kizito One and St. Kizito Two schools, Mount Zion Preparatory School, Adaba Preparatory School, Kanda and Nima cluster of
schools.
Dr Ahmed who is also the Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing advised the students to be bold and adhere to the rules and
regulations of the examination and refrain from examination malpractices.
He asked them to concentrate on what they had learnt and not listen to friends or anyone who would approach them with fake examination questions.
Dr Ahmed urged the students to obey the instructions of the invigilators and avoid taking "foreign materials" into the examination halls to prevent the cancellation of their papers.
He asked them, especially the female students in the constituency, to take their studies seriously in order to become successful in future.
"Listen to your teachers and take active interest in extra curricula activities and also cultivate the habit of reading," he stressed.
Dr Ahmed presented a cheque for GH¢3,105 to cater for the school fees of 21 brilliant but needy students in the constituency.
