The Kade District Magistrate's Court on Tuesday remanded in prison custody Kwadwo Amakye, a farmer, charged for being in possession of four wrappers of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.
He will appear in court again on April 29.
Prosecuting, Police Inspector D. T. Nartey said on April 10, the police at Osenase received information that the accused dealt in drugs.
The police searched the house and found four wrappers of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp in his possession.
In his caution statement to the police, Amakye denied ownership of the stuff though he admitted being Indian hemp smoker.
