Since 2021, comedian Lekzy Decomic has been hosting comedy shows, boosting his influence on the comedy industry. He fed comedy enthusiasts with Too Cute to be Mute 1k in 2021 and followed up with Too Cute to Be Mute Amplified in 2022.
In 2023, patrons had a good time with CanPAIN MESSage and another moment of pride for Lekzy which earned him a resounding applause for his performance was at The New False last year.
Lekzy is back with a new show, Funny Boy Innit featuring two of South Africa’s comedy giants, Chris Mapane and KG Mokgadi.
It will be hosted at UPSA Auditorium, Accra on Saturday, September 27.
That is not all, Jeneral Ntatia and Parrot Mouth will team up with Lekzy to bring the house down with hilarious storytelling and entertainment.
Other Ghanaian comedians billed for the show are Ben South, Papayaw Ataamle, Kojo PJ, MJTheComedian, James Brown, and Jerry Ashinyo.
In a chat with Graphic Showbiz, Lekzy said Funny Boy Innit is more than just a comedy show, it is a celebration of African humour at its finest.
“I have been looking forward to this day and I can say for sure that it’s going to be a great night. If you enjoyed my previous shows, then patrons should brace themselves for comedy blockbuster in September,” he said.
Lekzy’s hardiwork has also taken him outside the country to perform at comedy shows such as Bloemfontein International Comedy Festival, Extreme Comedy Wednesday - Hosted by Thabiso Mhlongo & Bexta Jolly Cool, Weekly Comedy Show, Monday Night Comedy @ Six Cockta, Coming from Africa - Columbus USA and Go Bananas Comedy Club USA - GH Memorial Holiday Party in the United States of America.
He has won a number of awards including Best Comedy Special award with CanPAIN MESSage at the 2024 Ghana Comedy Awards.
