Veteran Highlife musician, Nana Acheampong has announced the release of a tribute song for friend and colleague, Daddy Lumba who died on Saturday, July 26.
The song titled, Due k Fosu will drop tomorrow, August 21.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, he wrote, “A tribute song to Daddy lumba drops on Thursday 21st August 2025. Due! K, Fosu????????
“In the realm of Ghanaian music, few names shine as brightly as my brother. A trailblazer, an icon, a legend. His passing leaves a void that can never be filled. But as we mourn his departure, we also celebrate his life, his music, his enduring legacy.

Last month, Nana Acheampong expressed grief and shock at the news of Daddy Lumba's death.
"It has been difficult for me to accept this sad news. Menua Kojo Fosu, why this shock?" Nana Acheampong wrote, addressing Daddy Lumba by his real name, Charles Kojo Fosu. "Hmmm, you have indeed done what the creator brought you on earth to do; you will forever inspire generations,” he said. Nana Acheampong, who formed the legendary Lumba Brothers duo with Daddy Lumba, described his friend as a brother and a legend. "My family and I are in pain. To the family of my beloved brother, may God hold you tight in this moment," he added, offering condolences to the Fosu family. (Read How Daddy Lumba got his stage name)
The Lumba Brothers, comprising Nana Acheampong and Daddy Lumba, were a pivotal part of Ghana's highlife music scene in the 1980s and 1990s. Their collaboration resulted in timeless classics, including the iconic album "Y??y? Aka Akwantuo Mu," released in 1989.
