The La Palm Royal Beach Hotel came alive last night as 25-year-old Lucille Naa Kwaley King, a graduate of the University of Birmingham, freelance model and YouTuber, was crowned the Miss Malaika Ghana Glow Up Queen for 2024.
The elated queen shed tears of joy as she beat nine other contestants to claim the coveted title.
Marie and Cherise placed second and third, respectively, with Delphine and Whitney completing the top five finalists in this year’s fiercely contested competition.
This edition of Miss Malaika Ghana saw Lucille distinguish herself from the very start.
Her exceptional presentation skills, outstanding talent display, and consistent excellence across various segments of the competition earned her admiration from both judges and the audience.
Throughout her journey, Lucille bagged several awards, solidifying her status as a frontrunner.
The crowning moment, however, came during the final round, where Lucille’s eloquent and confident responses to judges' questions sealed her victory.
Her composure and well-articulated answers earned her the highest score of the night, securing her position as the new queen.
Speaking in an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Lucille described the win as “a dream come true.”
She expressed gratitude to her supporters and pledged to use her new platform to for positive change.
Lucille takes over the prestigious title from Lady Nana Yaa, last year’s winner.
