Not even a shiny gold Oscar can guarantee entry at a Met Gala after party, and Eddie Redmayne may have learned that the hard way after reportedly being turned away from Rihanna's exclusive post-ball bash.
Bit of a cringe.
The Fantastic Beasts star arrived at Rihanna's celebration at NYC's 1Oak nighctlub with wife Hannah Bagshawe and fellow British actor Tom Sturridge, only to be turned away, not once, but twice, by security according to E! Online.
Redmayne was then photographed talking on his mobile phone (classic move), before Bagshawe and Sturridge went back to the club, before heading off in the opposite direction.
The trio could of course have been turned away because the place was full to capacity. Ed Sheeran recently revealed that he's been turned away from his own record label's Grammy after party four years in a row because too many random people had been allowed entry.
Meanwhile, celebrity guests who managed to make it into Rihanna's epic party included Madonna, Kendall Jenner, A$AP Rocky, Bella Hadid, Jaden Smith and Zoe Kravitz.
E! also reports that the singer - who fully embraced the Met Gaga's theme in a head-turning Comme des Garçons creation - "danced her way through the club, greeting guests as she made her way to her booth." Guests were also served cheesburgers and fries, because it was that time of the night.
Earlier that evening, Redmayne and Bagshawe had posed on the red carpet at the annual prestigious fashion extravaganza at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, which honoured Comme des Garçons founder Rei Kawakubo. Sturridge had skipped the red carpet, and went straight into the event.
