All is set for the 2016 edition of the Neskael Corporate Fashion Show scheduled to take place on October 1 at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.
The annual event, organised by Neskael Travel And Tours, has been promoting made -in -Ghana goods and the African culture through fashion.
This year’s show will be on the theme: ‘Promoting the regular usage of African wear in the corporate world to enhance the country’s economy.’
Previous editions of this event had been used to promote made-in-Ghana goods and this year’s event is expected to serve the same purpose.
At the press launch last Friday, Louanges Mang, Managing Director of Neskael (Gh) Ltd, said the portrayal of African culture through fashion would not only project the creativity of Africans but would also provide business opportunities to many young people.
“Globally, the fashion industry is booming and Ghana hasn’t been left out of its benefits following the introduction of African Wear,” he said.
The Special Events Manager of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Mr Benjamin Nsiah, who was the special guest, pledged government’s support for the fashion industry.
He said if the fashion show was well groomed, it could provide work for the youth, which would in a long way reduce the high numbers of youth employment.
This year’s show will have some seasoned models hit the runway in designed fabrics and accessories from Nallem Clothing, Jully’s Klassic Designs, Bath Sante, Sarfora, Anyass Collation, Bushai Collection, Elikem the Tailor, Selina Beb, King Dove Designs, among others.
Aside from the fashion show slated for the evening, there will also be an exhibition from morning till late afternoon.
The event is sponsored by DDP, Tasty Tom, Perk Biscuit, GTP, La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, Fact Ghana Limited, Nallem Clothing, shoppersgh.com, Rush Energy Drink, Verna Natural Mineral Water, Granny Special Zomy, Kukus Restaurant, mycompany365.net and Melcom Ghana.
