Sudan's airspace would be closed on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. of local time (1400 GMT) until 7:00 p.m. (1600 GMT) for all domestic and international flights because of a maiden voyage of a aircraft produced by a local factory, a Sudanese official said.
Youssef Ibrahim Ahmed Omar, the director of the Khartoum International Airport, told reporters that the Sudanese airspace would be closed for two hours to perform the displaying flight of the "Safat 01" aircraft produced by the Sudanese Safat Plant for the production of aircraft.
The state-owned Safat Plant, which is to be formally opened by Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir on Sunday afternoon, will produce three kinds of small aircraft, namely Safat 01, Safat 02 and Safat 03.
