Mr. Henry Okyere Jnr, Chairman of the Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association, has been honoured at the 2025 West Africa Automotive Show (WAAS), held in Lagos, Nigeria.
Mr. Okyere received a special award in recognition of his consistent leadership and dedication to the growth of the automotive sector in West Africa, particularly through his continued participation in WAAS.
The WAAS is a leading trade exhibition for the automotive industry in the region.
It brought together manufacturers, dealers, and suppliers from across the Continent, providing a platform for networking, trade, and business development.
Each May, automotive professionals from across Africa gather in a designated West African country to showcase innovations, exchange knowledge, and explore new business opportunities.
This year's event hosted more than 300 exhibitors and attracted more than 5,000 industry players. Organisers were hopeful that Ghana would host the next edition of the show.
In his remarks, Mr. Okyere expressed appreciation for the recognition, noting that such conferences provided a valuable boost to automotive businesses in Ghana and beyond.
He led the delegation from Ghana, representing the leadership of the Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association at the event.
