The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SNNIT) has marked its Customer Appreciation Day celebration with a call on the public to constantly update their SSNIT status.
According to the branch manager of SSNIT’s Accra Industrial area branch, Mr Nicholas Ofosu, the public’s constant update of their SSNIT status would help the organisation pay its customers the appropriate pensions they deserved.
Mr Ofosu said this in an interview with the Ghanaian Times when SNNIT, as part of its Customer Appreciation Day visited the Nunana Clinic in Accra to share chocolate with workers as a way of showing love and appreciation to them, especially, since the Day coincided with the Valentine’s celebration
It was held on the theme: ‘My Customer, My Friend.’
Mr Ofosu emphasised the importance of SSNIT’s role in securing the future of Ghanaian workers and paying pensions for life, and therefore, encouraged employers and employees of various organisations to participate in the scheme.
For those who were already members, he encouraged them to regularly update their records to ensure accurate pension payments in the future.
He said the celebration was not only to appreciate customers of SNNIT but also a way to strengthen relationships with its stakeholders as well as to promote awareness about the importance of social security and pension planning.
The branch manager further commended Nunana Clinic for their consistent dedication in registering all its workers and paying contributions promptly, setting a good example for other businesses.
Out of the total percentage of the national businesses’ compliance, which is 83 per cent, Mr Ofosu disclosed that the clinic contributed 17 per cent of the quota.
Being at the forefront of providing social security services to the citizenry, Mr Ofosu reiterated SSNIT’s commitment and dedication in such regard, assuring to deliver an exceptional service forthe betterment of its members.
In an interview, the clinic’s administrator, Ms Eunice Lamptey, commended SSNIT for recognising its compliance with its regulation, adding that such a recognition motivated the clinic to continue prioritising the social security of its employees.
She noted that the clinic understood the importance of securing its employees’ futures and took SSNIT contributions seriously, demonstrating the clinic’s prioritisation of its employees’ well-being and social security.
It is for that reason that the clinic, she said, had made a conscious decision to enroll all 12 employees onto the SSNIT scheme, ensuring the security of their future.
