Standard Chartered (-0.23%) closed lower, moderating the GSE Composite Index by 0.02 points to settle at 2,140.25 with a year-to-date return of -16.79% in spite of advancement in the price of GOIL (+0.60%). Market capitalization stayed at GH¢55.59 billion.
Consequently, the GSE Financial Index inched down by 0.73 points (-0.04%) to close at 1,788.79 with a -16.94% year-to-date return.
The SAS Manufacturing Index recorded no gains or losses for the sixth successive session, closing at 3,620.75 with a -22.19% year-to-date return.
Trading activity strengthened as 2,080,260 shares valued at GH¢1,497,325 changed hands compared to 1,769,995 shares valued at GH¢1,404,203 at the previous session. MTN Ghana dominated trades for the second straight session, accounting for 97.58% of total volume traded and 94.90% of the total value traded.
We expect activity levels to increase at the next session.
Appointment of Executive Vice President & Head of Sustainability
