The GSE Composite Index moderated by 29.39 points (-0.01%) to close at 2,263.96 with a -11.98% year-to-date return due to losses in CAL Bank and MTN Ghana while market capitalization declined by 0.53% to settle at 57.02 billion.
CAL Bank Limited (-9.09%) dragged the GSE Financial Index by 10.21 points to close at 1,969.48 with a -8.55% year-to-date return.
The SAS Manufacturing Index recorded no gains and losses, closing at 3,825.83 with a -17.78% year-to-date return.
Trading activity weakened with 117,192 shares valued at GH¢23,610.66 changing hands compared with 14,355,038 shares valued at GH¢10,362,935.91 in the previous session. MTN Ghana dominated trades by volume, accounting for 63.98% of total volume traded while GCB Bank dominated trades by value, accounting for 52.17% of total value traded.
