Allianz Life Insurance Ghana has partnered with the Directorate of Communications of the Ghana Armed Forces to refurbish the Signal Training School. The cheque of GHC 7,200 was presented on behalf of Allianz Life Insurance by their Marketing & Communications manager, Elaine Arthur to procure a quantity of 15 complete desks for the School. She expressed her company’s willingness to partner for such a great cause as this and was hopeful that this would go a long way to facilitate training programs for the officers. Speaking on behalf of the Signal Regiment and the Signal Training School, Colonel Matthew Essien, the Director of Communications at the Communications Directorate, expressed his sincere appreciation for the kind gesture and said he was optimistic about the future prospects for both entities. The Directorate oversees the duty and functions of the Signal Regiment and the Signal Training School.
Allianz started its life insurance operations in Ghana in December 2017 with an official launch on 24th May, 2018. It offers a wide range of products for retail, SME and corporate customers, including Pure Life Insurance, Credit Life, Funeral, Education, Savings and Investments. It also offers micro insurance products for that segment of the population.
The Signal Regiment is commanded by Lt Col A Mustapha and is responsible for the provision of reliable and effective Communication Information Systems for the entire Ghana Armed Forces. The Signal Training School is under the able leadership of Lt Col SK Ofosu and is responsible for training personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces, sister security services and even civil institutions on Communication and Information Technology.
