Airtel Ghana, a telecommunications company, has presented cheques for GHC 25,000.00 and GHC 10,000.00 to two of its subscribers for winning weekly and monthly draws of its ‘Wo Mmere Nie’ promotion.
The winners were Mr Daniel Kumafo Yaw, a Credit Officer of a Microfinance Firm based in Ho, who received GHC 25,000.00 for winning a monthly draw and Mr Joel Ameah, a Digital Marketer based in Kumasi, who received GHC 10,000 for winning a weekly draw.
Airtel Ghana subscribers, who recharge GHC 2.00 and above earn points, those who recharge using Airtel money earn more points and others who answer SMS trivia questions qualify for the ‘Wo Mmere Nie’ promotion, which was launched in February, this year.
Aside daily, weekly and monthly draws, where winners receive data bundles, air time, smart phones, fuel coupons and GHC 1,000.00, (daily), GHC 10,000.00 (weekly) and GHC 25,000.00 (monthly), there will be a grand draw where the jackpot winner will receive GHC 150,000.00, the second prize winner will receive GHC100,000.00 and the third prize winner will receive GHC 75,000.00.
Mr Samuel Sarpong, Sales and Distribution Director of Airtel-Ghana, who presented the cheques to the winners in Tamale over the weekend, said the promotion had generated high interest amongst subscribers adding it (promotion) had been extended by a month to end in June to enable many subscribers to benefit.
Mr Sarpong said the promotion was to help Airtel subscribers realise their dreams as well as give them (subscribers) the highest ever reward given by any telecommunications company in the country.
Mr Kumafo Yaw expressed excitement at winning the monthly draw and commended Airtel-Ghana for the promotion saying the company was touching and transforming lives.
