Nana Addo Danquah Akufu Addo, Flag-bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has said the party would not accept the results of the just ended Presidential elections, which were announced by the National Electoral Commission on Sunday, December 9th, 2012.
"The position of the National Executive Council of the NPP is that we refuse to accept the results," he said.
Speaking to a large crowd of NPP supporters at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle on Tuesday in Accra, the NPP Flag Bearer said "we would contest the results at the Supreme court. However long it takes, the truth of this election would come out."
He reminded the party faithfuls that the NPP party was known for being a peaceful party "so let us strive to maintain that image and avoid any kind of violent behavior, and wait patiently for the decision of the court".
