Mr Isaac Asamoah Livingstone, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for New Juaben North, has launched his campaign at Eddiduase, with a pledge to work towards the development of the youth in the area if vote into Parliament.
He said because the NDC government was committed to seeking the progress of the youth it had introduced interventions such as the Local Enterprise Skills Development Programme, to equip them with employable skills.
Mr Asamoah Livingstone said since the NDC came to power, it had ensured that the constituency was not left out in the sharing of the national cake.
He cited the building of dormitory blocks for the Pope John Senior High School and Koforidua Technical School, and the construction of the Oyoko Community Help Planning and Services Centre.
Mr Asamoah Livingstone called on the electorate to give him the mandate to implement more develop in the area and to ensure free, fair and violent-free polls.
The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr Edward Omane-Boamah, said the NDC government would connect all communities with a population of 150 people to the national electricity grid by 2016, if retained in power.
He appealed to the electorate to vote massively for Mr Asamoah Livingstone and President John Dramani Mahama, NDC presidential candidate, since the New Patriotic Party had taken the people for granted for so long.
Mr. James Agyenim Boateng, Deputy Minister for Information, Mr Antwi Boasiako Sekyere, Deputy Minister for Employment and Social Welfare, and Mr. Felix Ofosu Kwakye, a member of the NDC communication team were present at the launch.
