One hundred and nineteen polling station executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Nkoranza South have called on the party's Brong-Ahafo Regional Executives to conduct elections for new constituency executives or they would advise themselves.
The executives stated that the tenure of the current constituency executives had elapsed "but there have been machinations by some executives
to prolong their stay in office to the detriment and well-being of the party in the constituency".
A statement issued and signed by Mr. Jerry Adjei, constituency youth organiser said: "any delay in organising the elections could lead to a
demonstration in the constituency".
According to the statement, "the party members have become disgruntled and disillusioned with the current state of affairs and the current
executives need not to hold themselves as officers of the party until elections are conducted".
It noted with regret the poor handling of the situation by the regional executives, whom it said: "are playing a hide and seek game with the entire members of the party".
The statement asked the regional executives to offer a level playing field in the interest of unity and harmony in the party.
