Mr Emmanuel Asamoah Owusu-Ansah, Ashanti Regional Minister and Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwabre West, has commended the constituency executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and polling station chairmen for their loyalty to him.
Submitting his nomination forms for re-election as MP on the ticket of the Party to the Constituency Chairman at Kodie, the District Capital for Afigya-Kwabre on Monday, the Lawyer said, "I thank you for the support and loyalty shown to me up to this period".
The Regional Minister who was accompanied by Mr Osei Assibey Antwi, Deputy Ashanti Regional minister who later also submitted his forms to contest the Manhyia seat said "When I was coming for nomination forms, you followed me in your numbers and today too you have not let me down and you are with me," he said.
Nana Appiah Kubi, the Constituency Chairman of the Party who received the forms at 1210hrs called for a peaceful campaign, devoid of insults, stressing that, at the end of it all only one candidate would be elected to be supported by members to lead the party to victory.
Mrs Millicent Elizabeth Boateng, a 47 year old teacher who submitted her nomination forms earlier in the day is also vying for the seat.
