Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku says he is worried about the spate of injuries to Black Stars players as Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team prepares to compete at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
At the time of writing, multiple Black Stars players including Mohammed Salisu, Francis Abu and Daniel Kofi Kyereh have been ruled out of competing in the upcoming World Cup due to significant injuries.
Others including Ernest Nuamah, Tariq Lamptey and Abdul Mumin have returned to training after recovering from serious injuries and are in a race against time to be fit and available for selection.

“I am concerned and everybody is concerned about the number of players in the medical room as we speak now but… I am a very positive person. I always believe that everything and anything is possible and our job is to work as much as we can…and we leave the rest to him-God.”
