The Head Coach of Hearts of Oak, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, has urged the club’s supporters to be content with the point gained in their Ghana Premier League match-day five encounter with Kpando Heart of Lions, played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.
Hearts of Oak were held to a goalless draw by the visitors, a result that extended both sides’ unbeaten runs in the league.
The result left Heart of Lions in second position on the league table with 11 points, while the Phobians dropped to fifth with nine points.
It was the third consecutive draw for Hearts of Oak, a situation that left many of the club’s fans unhappy, especially given that the game was played at home.
Reacting to the fans’ frustration after the game, Coach Dramani urged them to be happy with the point gained.
“One point is very important. If you want to win the league and amass many points, it’s always important that in tight games like this, you try to keep a clean sheet and try as much as possible to gain a point, if not all three points.
“What this means is that when we score a goal, we can continue with our game plan. It means we are a solid side. We believe that while we are creating opportunities and turning them into chances, we will begin to convert them into goals,” he said.
He admitted that the team was a work in progress and needs the fans’ support to help them reach their best form and start delivering the results everyone expects.
The Phobians will next travel to the Golden City Park in Berekum to face Berekum Chelsea in their match-day six encounter this weekend.
