Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team has officially qualified to the 2026 FIFA World Cup that will be co-hosted by the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.
The Black Stars will compete in the tournament for the fifth time in the last six editions; Ghana is the fifth African nation to make it to next year’s tournament.By leading Ghana’s successful qualification campaign, Nana Otto Addo has made history as the first coach to qualify Ghana to the FIFA World Cup on two occasions.
The German born Ghanaian tactician led Ghana to qualify to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar; the Black Stars crashed out at the group stage.
In the 2026 World Cup African qualifiers, Otto Addo came in after an unimpressive start to replace Chris Hughton and has successfully guided the team to qualify to next year’s tournament with an unbeaten.

Appearing at next year’s World Cup would mark the third time, the former Borussia Dortmund assistant coach features at the World Cup as he represented Ghana as a player at the 2006 edition.
