The National Sports Authority (NSA) Director-General, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah has promised that fans who troop to the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 12 to watch Ghana’s game against Comoros will get to see an elevated experience despite the Accra Stadium not fitting in the category of Liverpool FC’s Anfield Stadium or Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium.
He said this while addressing the press before this weekend’s game which marks the end of Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign.
Ahead of the game, Ghana has virtually qualified to compete in next year’s World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada and the Accra Stadium is expected to be packed and the NSA boss believes that fans will get to witness an elevated experience because of the measures being put in place.
“What we can, is what we are trying to do to make sure that you have an experience anytime you come to the Accra Sports Stadium and on Sunday, you will see an elevated experience again.”

“We can’t do it all; it’s not Stamford Bridge or Emirates or Anfield but it is Ghana’s Wembley and we need to make sure that we protect that image and integrity” he said.
