Argentine midfielder Camilo Nuin has died during knee surgery.

The 18-year-old played for second division side San Telmo since 2022 following spells at the Boca Juniors and Independiente youth academies.

The cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

The Argentine Football Association said: "The Argentine Football Association, through its president Claudio Tapia and executive committee, expresses its sorrow at the death of Camilo Nuin and extends its condolences to the player's family."
