Tanko’s leadership was instrumental in the club's growth, earning him respect for his commitment and contributions to the team’s development.

In a smooth transition, Tanko has handed over coaching duties to German trainer Rainer Kraft, who returns to the club with extensive experience. 

Kraft previously led Accra Lions to promotion into the Ghana Premier League during his first tenure from 2019 to 2021, and he is well-versed in the club’s mission of nurturing talent and competing at the highest level.

Tanko expressed pride in his time with the club and emphasized the strong family bond he shares with the team.

“While I am stepping away to focus on other projects, my bond with the team remains strong, and I will always be available to support the club,” he stated.

Accra Lions management expressed heartfelt gratitude for Ibrahim Tanko's invaluable contributions, highlighting that the door remains open for his future return.

As Rainer Kraft resumes his role as head coach, the club is eager to continue its mission of developing talent and achieving success in the Ghana Premier League.
