Canadian Nick Taylor got the better of Nico Echavarria of Colombia in a play-off to claim the Sony Open in Hawaii - his fifth PGA Tour win.
The 36-year-old had an eagle at the par-five 18th while Echavarria got up and down from a greenside bunker to force the extra holes at Waialae.
Both players birdied the 18th the second time around but when they repeated the hole, Echavarria missed from seven feet while Taylor holed out from about half the distance for his third successive play-off victory.
"I'm a bit stunned this worked out this way," he said.
"To be able to hit a nice pitch, unfortunate for Nico to hit a three-putt there to open the door for me, but knowing I can rise to the occasion, it's pretty fun."
Both players carded final-round 65s with Echavarria recovering from two opening bogeys with five birdies in six holes around the turn.
Taylor also had two bogeys in the opening nine but climbed back into contention with his own run of four straight birdies from the eighth.
Having led before Taylor's last-hole heroics, JJ Spaun bogeyed the 17th to finish a stroke behind the leading duo on 15 under alongside Germany's Stephan Jaeger.
England's Harry Hall, who had shared the opening-round lead, finished on 12 under.
