Plymouth Argyle head coach Wayne Rooney says he will discuss with the club's board whether Andre Gray and Marko Marosi's contracts will be extended.

The pair are both on short-term contracts which will expire in early January having come in as cover for injuries.

Striker Gray has scored three goals in nine appearances including two excellent strikes in the 2-2 draw with Watford a month ago.

Goalkeeper Marosi came in after Conor Hazard underwent ankle surgery and has not featured but been cover for Dan Grimshaw.

"I think Andre's done really well," Rooney said.

"I'll have a meeting with the board to see where we're at, I think that's really important to see exactly what we can do in January.

"We've had early meetings but I want to finalise so I know exactly what we can do.

"That obviously influences the decision with Andre and Marko and players coming in.

"At the minute I can't guarantee anything on any players, but I think once I get confirmation of exactly what we can do I'll know exactly where we stand on those two and potential players coming in."

Despite having both his first choice goalkeepers fit again Rooney says he would be keen to keep Marosi as well.

The Slovakian keeper joined the club after leaving Shrewsbury Town last summer.

"If not you're always at risk of a keeper getting injured and you're having to go out.

"Marko's been great, a fantastic attitude. Even though he hasn't played his attitude in training has really helped the group and push Grimmy on and now push Conor on as well.

"He knew the role when he came in and he's been really professional and a great asset to his teammates."
