The Black Galaxies secured a 2-0 victory over Togo in an international friendly on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, as part of their buildup to the 2024 CHAN qualifier against Nigeria.
Goals from Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah and Basake Holy Stars midfielder Issah Yakubu sealed Ghana’s win at the Stade de Kegue in Lome, Togo.
Amoah put the Galaxies ahead in the third minute, with Yakubu doubling the lead in the 27th minute.
The game served as preparation for Mas-Ud Didi Dramani’s squad as they gear up for a two-legged showdown with their West African rivals, Nigeria.
The first leg is set to be played in Ghana on Sunday, December 22, while the return match is scheduled for Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Nigeria.
Ghana previously overcame Nigeria to qualify for the last CHAN tournament in Algeria, winning on penalties after a 2-2 draw on aggregate.
