Tanzanian giants Simba Queens have officially unveiled Yussif Basigi as their new head coach.
In a post on their X handle on Wednesday, September 25, the club welcomed the Ghanaian coach wishing him well in his new appointment.
Basigi joined the club on a one-year contract after parting ways with Ghana Women's Premier League side Hasaacas Ladies.
At 52, he brings valuable experience as Simba Queens aim to maintain their dominance in the domestic league while making an impact on the continental stage.
During his tenure at Hasaacas Ladies, Basigi led the team to its first league title in 2013, defeating Fabulous Ladies in the final. He secured four league titles in total and clinched the inaugural WAFU B Women’s Champions League.
His impressive track record also includes guiding Hasaacas Ladies to the final of the first CAF Women’s Champions League, held in Egypt.
