Nsoatreman Football Club head coach, Maxwell Konadu, has indicated that self-belief was the biggest motivation to sign a deal with the Bono club.
He said this in a post game interview after leading Nsoatreman to win the 2024 MTN FA Cup thanks to a 5-4 penalty shootout win over regional rivals Bofoakwa Tano after extra time.
The game ended 1-1 with Richard Dzikoe scoring for Bofoakwa in the 22nd minute and Sadat Mohammed scoring in the 79th minute after Tano goalkeeper Emmanuel Kobi mishandled Mohammed’s speculative shot.
Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach Konadu joined Nsoatreman in the just ended 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season and stated that believing in his ability to get the newly promoted club to excel in the season motivated him to sign the deal.
“For sure, I knew that I could transform the team because I know what I have and when you believe in yourself, I think it’s the beginning of everything. The self-belief did a lot. It motivated me to sign the contract for Nsoatreman.”
