Everton goalkeeper Emily Ramsey is set to be "out for more than a month" with an ankle injury, says manager Brian Sorensen.
Ramsey sustained the injury in the club's 2-1 League Cup loss to Liverpool on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old adds to Everton's injury list, with midfielder Lucy Hope and defender Elise Stenevik among those sidelined.
"She [Ramsey] is out for a significant period," Sorensen said.
Speaking before Everton's Women's Super League match against Manchester City on Sunday, he added: "It's hard to say so early how long but it's definitely not just a two-week injury unfortunately.
"It's her ankle and it's ligaments that are not good. I can't say if it's eight or 10 weeks, but she is out for more than a month early doors.
"I don't think surgery is needed but it's still one that will take some weeks to recover from."
