Former Tottenham midfielder Michael Brown believes Ange Postecoglou's side still put in a "top performance" despite Thursday's defeat by West Ham.
Even though the result means no win in five for Spurs, Brown told BBC Radio 5 Live's Football Daily that fans were treated to another entertaining pereformance.
"They were so good and it was brilliant to watch," he said. "They were ripping West Ham apart, but you have got to get a second goal. You know West Ham are going to have chances but it was a classic away performance where they just sat and waited.
"At the start of the game, it looked like there was no way out for West Ham. Spurs made endless runs and maybe they actually burned out. West Ham maybe conserved their energy and then started to get in better positions.
"In the build-up, we were hoping to get one of these Spurs games that was end-to-end. Watching Premier League football like this, Spurs fans will go away feeling disappointed but they have still seen a top performance.
"Before the game a commentator said they thought Spurs were the real deal for finishing in the top four. I said I have concerns about that asI don’t see that level of consistency. Until they get more players back it’s going to take a little bit longer."
