Overall Best Player for the open, Richard Abagna (who played for Achimota Squash Club), expressed his invaluable gratitude to the sponsors (Sono Ghana, Eastfield Foundation, Ankaa Tropical, Aseda Industries) and called on corporate Ghana to invest in the least-financed sport.

Gracing the occasion was the Secretary General of Ghana Squash Club Association and member of Ghana's maiden squash team at the Commonwealth Games (Birmingham 2022, United Kingdom), Mark Owiredu-Gyening, who disclosed that the association will start their youth development programme within the first quarter of 2023.

"It's been so well-organised and for the first time we had females playing as well," captain of 4 Garrisons Officers Mess Squash Club, lawyer Francis Koffie, remarked. Lawyer Koffie also called for establishing squash courts in schools to add to that of Achimota School to promote junior open that his club has pioneered in promoting squash.

The well-attended "sweet revenge" held at the squash court of Elmina Beach Resort in the Central region Saturday, March 4, 2023, also drew patrons from Tema Squash Club, Dohazari Squash Club (Burma Camp), Tesano Squash Club, among others. 

The umpire (referee) for the squash open was the Organiser of the Ghana Squash Association, Kwame Osei Prempeh.

The day was crowned with a dinner at Coconut Grove Beach Resort.

Squash is a racquet sport played by two players (or four players for doubles) in a four-walled court with a small, hollow rubber ball. Once the ball is served, players take turns hitting the ball against the front wall, above the tin and below the outline.
