A new promotion has been launched by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to raise funds for the Black Stars of Ghana ahead of their participation in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Dubbed Stars4Qatar promotion, it is a collaboration between the GFA, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ghana Tourism Authority and the National Lottery Authority.
The promotion will run for the next seven weeks with 10 all-expenses-paid trips to watch the World Cup in Qatar up for grabs as well as other consolation prizes.

Addressing the launch of the promotion today in Accra, an Executive Council Member of the GFA, Dr. Tony Aubynn said the promotion was also to whip up support and rally support for the Black Stars.
He urged the public to support the team by dialling the USSD code *899# or visiting the website www.stars4qatar.football to participate in the promotion.
Dr Aubynn told GraphciOnline that the GFA was hopeful of raising a "substantial amount" to aid in the Stars' campaign in Qatar.
"I don't have a direct figure that I can give now but I know that we are looking for a substantial amount just to support the Stars and support them is also supporting our supporters and it's also important that we create the excitement around the World Cup," Dr Aubynn stated.
In a separate address played at the event, the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Evans Opoku Bobie urged all Ghanaians to participate in the promotion.
"I wish to call on every Ghanaian to participate in every Ghanaian to participate in the competition," he said.
The Deputy Minister also urged all corporate bodies in Ghana and abroad to support the team ahead of the World Cup.
The Black Stars are scheduled to play Portugal on November 24, South Korea on November 28 and Uruguay on December 2 in Group H at the World Cup.
