St Johnstone will "have a go" against Galatasaray in the Europa League on Thursday, said manager Callum Davidson after their draw with Motherwell.
Stephen O'Donnell's own goal was cancelled out by Motherwell team-mate Tony Watt late in the game.
Galatasaray come to Perth after a 1-1 first leg draw, with a place in the play-off round at stake.
"We can get them here and have a go," said Davidson. "Hopefully everyone is fit and ready to go."
Meanwhile, St Johnstone have joined Aberdeen, Celtic and Rangers in being a granted local authority permission to have a capacity crowd for this week's European home leg.
For a team that had played in Istanbul fewer than 72 hours earlier, St Johnstone were full of energy against a fresh Motherwell side. They missed some early chances, with Stevie May denied by a last-ditch Bevis Mugabi tackle and Wotherspoon having an effort cleared off the line by O'Donnell.
Captain Jason Kerr, who hadn't missed a game since January, was ruled out by injury and his influence in the Perth team's back-three was perhaps missed. Motherwell created plenty of chances but goalkeeper Clark stood up well to shots by Kevin Van Veen and Kaiyne Woolery.
St Johnstone had created a number of chances and it was only a matter of time before one found the net. O'Donnell gave them a helping hand, the Scotland international being struck by Wotherspoon's cross after it travelled through a sea of players and diverting past goalkeeper Liam Kelly.
Graham Alexander's team had played with guile in their opener against Hibs but such menace was lacking early on. A couple of chances aside, they did not threaten much. And when they did, Clark was in fine form, with one saves from Mugabi and Ricki Lamie headers particularly eye-catching.
Eventually, though, Clark would be beaten. Steven Lawless picked out a free Watt inside the box and the striker's volley was not to be stopped as it sailed into the net.
Callum Slattery had a chance to win it for Motherwell but his long-range drive flashed past and means St Johnstone can now turn their attention to their attempts to secure a Europa League play-off spot.
Man of the Match - Zander Clark
What did we learn
It was a strange game. While St Johnstone controlled much of the tempo, Motherwell created the most chances.
Clark was called upon four or five times to make big saves as the The Fir Park side improved from their first half display to take a merited point back to Lanarkshire.
St Johnstone meanwhile perhaps had one eye on Thursday in the later stages of the game. McDiarmid Park captain Kerr was missed in defence and Davidson is concerned that the 24-year-old might miss the European tie with an ankle problem.
What they said
St Johnstone manager Callum Davidson: "We created chances, but Motherwell had some good chances as well. Both sides played with a positive attitude. We should see the game out.
"That's the only disappointing thing. It was quite an entertaining game - but too entertaining for me."
Motherwell manager Graham Alexander: "It was a tough game against a very good opponent. We had a couple of great chances.
"I was delighted with how we finished the game and we deserved at least a point."
