Hasaacas Ladies FC of Ghana beat Rivers Angels of Nigeria 3:1 to win the WAFU Zone B tournament on Thursday in Abidjan.

It was a sweet revenge for the high flying Ghanaian champions who had fallen 2:0 to the same side in their opening game of the tournament.

When victory mattered most, it was the trio of Veronica Appiah, Perpetual Agyekum and Azunah Abugre who netted, first when the game was barely a minute old, followed by the second with three minutes to the break, and the icing on the cake would come inside the second half.

The results mean both Hasaacas Ladies and Rivers Angels have qualified for the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League to be played in Egypt in November.
