AshantiGold’s 1-0 home loss to Liberty Professionals on Sunday compounded their problems and extended their winless run to five matches in the Ghana Premier League.

The Miners who lie in 10th place in the League table with 17 points have not won a match since their come from behind win against Accra Great Olympics on January 10, 2021.

Coach Milovan Cirkovic’s side have been extremely poor in their last five outings following defeats to Legon Cities, Ebusua Dwarfs and Liberty Professionals. AshantiGold also drew at home against Medeama SC and Asante Kotoko .

This Saturday, they travel to Sogakope to square off with WAFA at the Red Bull arena, aiming to get back to winning ways after two straight defeats on the road.
