West Ham will interview candidates for their manager's job this week.
BBC Sport reported on Monday that Wales boss Jayne Ludlow was set to succeed previous manager Matt Beard.
However, it is now understood several candidates are to have interviews for the role this week.
West Ham sit 10th in the WSL table with two wins from their opening nine games. They won 4-0 at bottom-of-the-table Bristol City on Sunday, and face Aston Villa in their next fixture.
BBC Sport reported last month that Birmingham City boss Carla Ward was a target for West Ham.
