Austrian giants SK Sturm Graz have handed a new two-year contract to Ghanaian forward Winfred Amoah.
Amoah, 20, was promoted to the senior team in January this year together with Oliver Bach and the duo have excelled greatly for the club to extend their stay.
Sports Director of Sturm Graz, Andreas Schicker, explained the qualities of both players and how they will be useful to the side after appending their signature to the new deal.
"Both players have already shown their quality in numerous assignments with the senior team. Oliver Bacher is a dangerous striker who also possesses playful elements. Winfred Amoah distinguishes his carefree playing style in 1-on-1 situations, and is very much dangerous on the offensive" Schiker told the media after the pair signed the deal.
Amoah is the son of former Sturm Graz legend and Black Stars striker, Charles Amoah, who is reputed to be the best African footballer ever to play in Austria.
The budding talent has already been tagged as the next biggest thing in Austrian football and people believe he can even surpass the achievements of his father.
The young Amoah was born in the Swiss city of St. Gallen and holds both Ghanaian and Swiss citizenship. He is currently being courted by the Switzerland for their under-21 national team though he is eligible to feature for Ghana and Austria, too.
