Brentford ended a winless run of five Championship games with an entertaining 5-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday.
The Bees opened the scoring on 10 minutes through Josh Dasilva, before Emiliano Marcondes netted his first for the club eight minutes later.
Wednesday started slowly, having just 12 per cent of the possession in the first 22 minutes, but improved after going 2-0 down.
But the home side extended their lead five minutes before half-time after Marcondes provided an inch-perfect pass to Bryan Mbeumo who slotted home for the third goal.
Brentford sealed the win in the 73rd minute through Dasilva before Tariqe Fosu got the fifth to give Thomas Frank's side their first league win since a 5-1 win over Hull City on 1 February.
The Bees missed a chance to go ahead after eight minutes when Christian Norgaard crossed the ball into the box to meet Ollie Watkins, whose left-footed shot hit the crossbar from eight yards out.
But the opener came two minutes later, when Dasilva's left-footed shot went through the legs of Cameron Dawson to give the Bees an early lead.
A Mbeumo corner found Marcondes who produced a stunning 25-yard right-footed strike to double their lead on 18 minutes.
Wednesday's first real chance came on 22 minutes, when Joey Pelupessy's shot was dealt with easily by David Raya.
Minutes later, the Owls had another chance after Barry Bannan picked out Steven Fletcher who headed it narrowly over the crossbar.
Wednesday, who suffered a ninth defeat in 14 league games, went into half-time 3-0 down for the second consecutive league outing.
Gary Monk made two changes at the break, with Connor Wickham and Fernando Forestieri replacing Josh Windass and Alessio Da Cruz.
The Bees returned from the break confident and continued as the brighter side, content with their three-goal buffer throughout the second half.
Kadeem Harris attempted a right-foot shot from a difficult angle in the 70th minute for the visitors, but Brentford took advantage of a long spell of possession with Dasilva getting their fourth from ten yards out.
Fosu made it five in the 82nd minute, after driving a low show into the bottom corner thanks to an assist from Said Benrahma.
Brentford are now fourth in the Championship on 60 points, with Gary Monk's Wednesday 15th on 48 points.
Brentford boss Thomas Frank told BBC Radio London:
"The big headline today was the desire to defend.
"I know that sounds crazy when we won 5-0, but we know that we try to play attractive, offensive football and we try to dominate the matches.
"We know when we are bang on it, that we are a really, really big threat. What we've got right this season is defending even better.
"We conceded too many goals in February, but today was a big, big thing. [The players] defended with their lives."
Sheffield Wednesday boss Garry Monk told BBC Radio Sheffield:
"There are very few times I'm lost for words. It's inexcusable. Once again, [there were] ridiculous goals against us. I felt we were hiding today.
"That's been the problem for quite a long period now. I'm very embarrassed.
"It's very tough to take, and for the fans behind the goal. I feel very sorry for them at this moment in time.
"I'm completely sorry to the fans. I've always tried to give everything and unfortunately we aren't getting the responses needed. I'm not a quitter."
