The first batch of officials and sportsmen representing Ghana at the first African Beach Games, have arrived in Cape Verde.
The delegation was led by Mr. Stephen Asante Bekoe, President of the Ghana Rowing and Canoeing Federation.
It included Edmund Asante Amoako, who would represent Ghana in Karate Do, Kata and Joel Asare, a free style footballer.
Two Beach Volleyball players Kelvin Carboo and Samuel Essilfie, together with their coach Moro Mumuni, were also part of the team.
Benjamin Debrah, Elvis Siaw, David Salako and Desmond Cobblah, members of the Basketball team completed the list of sports men for the competition.
Other officials of the team were Mr. Abdul Majeed Bawa representing the National Sports Authority (NSA) and Michael Okuley of GBC as Press Atache.
The second batch, made up of the team made up of Beach Volleyball players would leave on Friday, June 14 for Cape Verde.
The trip was sponsored by Toyota Ghana, Ghana Gas and Ashfoam Ghana Limited.
The first ever African Beach Games would commence on June 14 and end on June 23 in Sal, one of the beautiful islands in Cape Verde.
