Ashantigold pipped Asante Kotoko by a lone goal in the Ashanti derby game played at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi on Sunday.

Mark Agyekum got the only goal for the Miners in the NC Special Competition Day 11 clash.

Yahaya Mohammed was also on target for Aduana Stars once again as they beat Berekum Chelsea 1-0 at the Bechem Park.

Medeama SC suffered another away defeat as Charles Mensah scored for Bechem United in their game played on Sunday.

In the Premier B zone, Hearts of Oak maintained their position on top of the league table as they secured a 2-1 win over Dwarfs at the Cape Coast stadium.

Simon Zibo, Benjamin Eshun and Kyei Baffour all scored for Liberty Professionals as they beat Elmina Sharks 3-1.

Dreams FC also ended their winless run on Sunday after beating Inter Allies by a lone goal  in their game played at the Dawu Park.

The competition continues on Wednesday with games scheduled to be played across the country.
