The two most glamourous clubs in the country, Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko are in tricky fixtures in the match day four of the Normalization Committee (NC) Special Cup on Wednesday.
Accra Hearts of Oak would host Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs at the Accra Sports Stadium and would be hoping to make amends from their two consecutive away defeats.
The Phobians' latest defeats mean they are now four points behind the group leaders and three behind second place team in Zone B and they would be going into the game bearing in mind that, a win could enhance their qualification chances to the next stage.
Coach Kim Grant’s men are scoreless in their last two matches and they have also failed to keep a clean sheet in those games.
On the other side, the away team Ebusua Dwarfs have lost all their three matches in the competition, with one goal scored and seven conceded which leaves them on the bottom of the group, with seven points behind the group leaders.
The away team would be going into the game knowing that another loss would limit their chances in advancing in the competition.
Ebusua Dwarfs' chances of winning at the Accra Sports Stadium looks slim as the home side appears favourite to win on Wednesday.
Elsewhere in Zone A, the biggest game would be the match between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold, which happens to be a regional derby at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi.
The Porcupine Warriors, are a point clear at the top of the Zone B and a win over their regional rivals would extend their lead on the table.
Coach CK Akunor’s team has the best attack in Zone B with four goals and one conceded in the three games played.
The coach has been given a target to win the Normalization Special Cup, which would qualify the team into next year's Africa Inter-Clubs championship.
The visiting Ashgold on the other side are unbeaten in their three games - winning one and drawing two, having failed to win all last two away games.
The result in the last match means, a win over the home team would put them on top of the group irrespective of the other group results.
Even though AshaGold is playing away, they have all it takes to at least hold the home team to a draw.
