At an emergency meeting convened on Friday, March 29, between the Regional Sports Directorate and the Regional Physical Education coordinator Mr. Osei Mensah, it was agreed that tickets should not be sold on the second day of the event.

Furthermore, a limited number of students would be admitted into the facility, whiles arrangements are being made to beef up security with Police and Military personnel.

Prof. Peter Twumasi, the Director General of the NSA, who chaired the meeting, indicated that the Authority would review all operational arrangements with the Ghana Education Service with regards to events of this nature.

He cautioned the leadership of the various institutions on the need to educate their students on how to comport themselves in public gatherings like school sports events.
