Dreams FC has won their third Premier League fixture, after piping former champions Wa All Stars at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
Zuberu Sharani’s 6th minute goal was enough to gather all three points for Dreams FC, who played away from home due to television coverage.
The result sends Dreams to the third position on the log with seven points, two less than league leaders Ashgold, while Wa All Stars sink down the log with one point after three games.
In other results, West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) defeated defending champions Aduana Stars by two goals to nil at Sogakope with Musah Nuhu and youth international Aminu Mohammed getting the goals.
Ashgold cemented their lead on the log with a hundred per cent record, after three matches following their 1-0 victory over newly promoted side Karela FC at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
Former Asante Kotoko defender, Richard Osei Agyemang’s 56th minute goal ensured the ‘Aboakese’ lads stayed on top with nine points. The game at the Tarkwa TNA Park between Medeama SC and Asante Kotoko ended in a pulsating goalless draw.
At the Nana Gyeabour Park in Techiman, debutants Eleven Wonders walloped regional rivals Bechem United by three goals to one.
A brace from Abdul Wahab and a goal from Kwaku Adu kept the Techiman lads in a comfortable lead until Maxwell Frimpong gave the visitors a consolation in the 79th minute.
Ebusua Dwarfs and Hearts of Oak will play on Thursday as well as the game between Berekum Chelsea and Elmina Sharks. Meanwhile Inter Allies and Liberty Professionals will play at prime time today.
