Dwarfs, who were determined to carry the day started off brilliantly and scored two quick goals in the 28th and 35th minutes respectively. Nicolas Djan, after collecting midfield pass from Alhaji Mustapha broke the deadlock with a classic shot to open the scores.

Osmanu Mohammed increased the tally through a goal mouth scramble in the 35th minute to end the first half as the advantaged side.

On resumption, Aduana improved their performance as they dominated the second half and kept the vital area of Dwarfs boiling until in the 71st minute when Mohammed Tanko's solo effort saw him score one to reduce the tally. In the other league match played at the Nduom Sport Stadium at Elmina, Elmina Sharks earned the maximum three points with a 1-0 win over Ashgold.
