The campaign team of Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum says all signs point to a clear victory for the former education minister in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer race.

Yaw Opoku Mensah, spokesperson for Dr Adutwum in an interview on Citi Eyewitness News on Monday January 19 described the response from party members across the country as “fantastic” and “mind blowing.”

He said the candidate has received warm receptions in the various constituencies he has visited, with many supporters expressing strong approval of his ideas.

Speaking about the ongoing campaign, Mr Mensah said the excitement surrounding Dr Adutwum’s visits shows a strong momentum heading into the election on January 31.

“The euphoria created around the visit of Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum speaks volumes as to the fortunes of his chances on January 31,” he said.

He added that the feedback from supporters on the ground indicates there is no reason to doubt Dr Adutwum’s chances of winning.

“From all indications and from what we are picking on the ground, there is no indication that Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum wouldn’t be elected on the 31st of January,” he stated.

The NPP flagbearer contest is set to take place on January 31, with party members expected to choose their candidate for the upcoming general election.
