The First Vice Chairman of the NPP in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency, John Kwame Duodu alias Sir John, has called on members and supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to remain united and focused as the party navigates post-election challenges and prepares for the 2028 general elections.
Sir John, who serves as the Ashanti Regional TESCON Patron, emphasised that unity is crucial to the party’s success in the next political contest.
Addressing recent tensions within the party in an interview with GraphicOnline, Sir John acknowledged that some party leaders and members may have made decisions that displeased others.
However, he urged all executives and supporters to put personal grievances aside and prioritise the collective interests of the NPP. "Every member is crucial in ensuring victory in the next political contest," he stated.
Commenting on the concerns raised by former Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Adwoa Safo, Sir John appealed to her to remain patient and committed to the party’s cause.
He also cautioned the party’s youth against taking sides in internal disputes, reminding them that maintaining a united front was key to securing victory in 2028.
"We will soon be engaging in a major political battle with the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and we need every single member onboard," he stressed.
His message comes at a time when internal tensions within the NPP have sparked debate about the party’s future direction.
Urging members to "keep our eyes on the ball," Sir John reiterated that unity, discipline, and collective effort were essential in strengthening the party and positioning it for success in the next election.
